We celebrated the Nutrition month last July and most schools celebrated it. My son's school commemorated it by having a Nutri Hat Parade wherein the students from Pre-School Department wore their hats and costumes. Nursery level wore hats with go foods, Kinder level with grow foods and Preparatory level got the glow foods of the food pyramid.
All of these activities are my son's firsts so, I will see to it that it will be memorable for him. I like him to enjoy every single moment of it. And part of it, I made some twist on his hat....I made it a sort of basket full of nutritious foods from the grow group.
They paraded the school vicinity and walked up on stage where they were introduced to the other older students. It was such a happy feeling because all of the students were happy and clapping out loud to each and every pre-school students who went up on the stage.
After the parade, there was a short program where students narrated, danced and sang. It was such a successful event and for the finale was the announcement of the winners for each level. Luckily, my son was chosen as one of the winners in his level. He was so happy even though, he was tired carrying his heavy hat.
